Slant. Quite literally the slant at the base of the tree. Such a simple part that provides such stability to the whole tree. It is very important but it most certainly isn't the being of the tree. Now in the series I've tried to simplify and create bold contrasts. These are what we see when we start to lose perspective.

I am inspired by the trees around me. Looking up I realise that they were here long before me. And that they will be here long after I am gone.
