This piece is part of a Spring Series. I have been working with a spring colour pallet and focusing on creating texture and interest by painting layers with different media and then scraping back the top layers of paint to reveal the under layers.
The underlayer of this painting is one of daffodils springing up under trees while the ground is still bare. The colours are cool with the bright hope of spring in the yellow and greens of daffodil bulbs peaking through.
